The plan for the Master Bedroom in the Modern Farmhouse was to make it have a different than the rest of the house. We wanted a warm and inviting space for the couple to retreat to. The client already owned this beautiful four-poster bed that they wanted to keep. We used that as our jumping off point. Because we really wanted this room to be a showstopper, we decided to deviate from the white walls of the rest of the house and paint it a medium gray. We then stuck to neutrals, muted and soft colors as to keep with the farmhouse feel.
In the master bathroom, we wanted to give all the luxuries of a modern bathroom with the feel of our cohesive design. We incorporated floor to ceiling subway tiles alongside a vintage custom-painted clawfoot tub. We brought in a vintage desk to act as a vanity for our client which pairs well with the adjacent cabinets and dual sinks.
